My military training
    2013-12-11  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    高一(3)班 古文婷

    指导老师:饶峰 汤颖

Gu Wenting, Class 3, Grade 1, Xin’an Middle School; Instructed by Rao Feng, Tang Ying

As we all know, military training is compulsory for high school students. It is very important to bring this training into our school lives because it can help us to exercise our willpower. Thus, I’d like to share my military training story with you.

In the beginning, it was very hard for me to follow the training. But the instructor was friendly to me, as well as patient and enthusiastic.

On the first day, my job was to tidy my things. It was too difficult for me to fold the quilt and I didn’t pass the examination, even though I folded it three times. During this excercise, I missed my mother very much and I was looking forward to going home. But with the help from my classmates and the instructor, I finally made it.

On the second day, I learned to undergo the gymnastics techniques taught by the instructor. I found it was very complicated, and I made many mistakes. However, I tried my best to practice because I was afraid of punishment.

On the third day, the sunlight was scorching and I reviewed what I had learned the past two days. I was very tired and hungry after practicing for such a long time. Eventually, the instructor took me to the canteen, and I bought a lot of food and drinks.

On the last day, our school leaders visited us for an inspection. Each class took turns demonstrating marching and gymnastics on the playground. All the students tried their best. My class did a good job and our headteacher was moved by our performance.

During the four days’ military training, I did gain some ability on how to live independently. Furthermore, I trained my own willpower to overcome difficulties.
