Qu Wanting will tour the world in 2014
    2014-01-15  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Following her success after the release of her hit “You Exist in My Song” and huge sales for her second album “Say the Words,” Qu Wanting, the popular Chinese singer, recently announced her 2014 world tour.

Qu, 30, said she was confident and excited for the coming tours in North America and Asia. And she was pleased to know that the market possesses great potential for original songwriters and singers.

In a recent interview, the singer opened up on her thoughts about her songs and feelings, saying that the good thing about her art is that she “can use it to express my emotions, and write it into a song.”

Qu is a woman of few words, and believes that it is also why her debut album, “Everything in the World,” didn’t quite turn out like she wanted.

“The first album doesn’t fully express my ideas... I kept waiting until right at the end to tell him what I think, because I am always willing to give things a try. But by that time it was too late to go back,” said Qu.

Things were very different with “Say the Words.”

“The producer (for ‘Say the Words’) gets me. He knows my art and he would try to bring out my best.”

“When I left Los Angeles after working on the album for four months, I was crying so hard on the plane as it started to speed up on the runway,” said Qu sheepishly, explaining how she felt sad when the happy days of recording “Say the Words” were over.

Talking about the tours ahead, Qu said it would be a new start for her.

“It’ll be nine people on a bus. We’ll spend the month together going from city to city!” Qu said excitedly. “I’ve never done something like this before!”(SD-Agencies)
