Although the sports meet is over, as an athlete from Class 11, Senior 1, I am still excited whenever I look back on it and think about the whole process that I had participated in.

    It was a real pleasure. First, I took part in the 100-meter race. I was so nervous before the game because so many people were watching the game attentively. I could clearly feel my heart beating faster than any other time in my life. Due to my tense nerves and being distracted by the audience, I failed to win the race.

    It disappointed me a lot, though another reason for my failure may lie in that there were plenty of powerful runners. But my head teacher encouraged me and I promised her that I would never make her disappointed again.

    Since I failed the race, I decided to regain my confidence and tried my best in the high jump competition. I believed in myself and I wanted to earn honor for my class. With full confidence and support from my classmates, I made it and won the third place. At that moment, I felt extremely happy, and so was my class.

    I also took many wonderful photos during the meet, which have left me with unforgettable memories. I’m looking forward to taking part in the next sports meet and challenge myself again.
