Andy Lau joins ‘The Voice of China’: sources
    2014-01-29  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    刘德华或加盟 “中国好声音”第三季

Andy Lau is reportedly to be paid a record 30 million yuan (US$4.9 million) to be a judge-coach on China’s most popular talent show “The Voice of China.”

The amount is the highest earned by any talent show judge from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, said Apple Daily in Hong Kong, citing sources.

It said Lau, 52, will join Chinese pop diva Na Ying, Taiwan singer A-mei and Chinese rocker Wang Feng as a judge on season 3 of the show in June, and Taiwan singer-songwriter Harlem Yu, a judge on season 1 in 2012 and season 2 in 2013, will exit.

The show, based on the Dutch series “The Voice of Holland,” has been a massive hit from season 1, with average viewership* rising from 800 million to 1.2 billion.(SD-Agencies)
