弗雷德•阿米森将加盟赛斯•梅椰斯新节目 Seth Meyers has tapped* former “Saturday Night Live” co-star Fred Armisen as his new “Late Night” bandleader. Armisen will lead the new show’s 8G Band, handling vocals* and guitar, and will continue to run it from afar even when he’s filming IFC comedy series “Portlandia,” Meyers tweeted on Monday, along with a photo of the band. Armisen is best known as a comic actor, but played drums for a high-school band and began his career in 1988 as a drummer for punk band Trenchmouth in Chicago, before switching to acting. Meyers had wrestled with whether to have a band or DJ but ultimately decided on a live band to create “energy” around the new show. “Late Night With Seth Meyers” will premiere on February 24, a week after former host Jimmy Fallon moves to “The Tonight Show.”(SD-Agencies) |
