电影《北京爱情故事》在京首映

    Chinese film director Chen Sicheng’s debut “Beijing Love Story” premiered in Beijing on Monday.

    Hong Kong superstars Carina Lau and Tony Leung play the leading roles in the film.

    The movie tells the stories of five pairs of lovers. All five couples, though different in age and circumstance, are somehow linked to one another. Their stories demonstrate the imperfection of love.

    Lau shared her own thoughts on the theme: “It is because of the problems that we do not expect — the envies, doubts, possessiveness — that the existence of love is proven. Everyone pursues the idea of a perfect love but the flaws and uncertainties are what actually make love perfect.”

    The film will be released in China on February 13.(SD-Agencies)
