The first China International Gold, Jewelry & Gem Fair was unveiled yesterday morning, attracting professionals, jewelry enthusiasts and local residents to appreciate the glamour of the rare, precious luxury. Many international and local brands, including Hini Star, Frank Wu Design, Hodel, Divine and Sunny Gem have come to present their new designs. According to the Shenzhen Gold & Jewelry Association, total sales of the gold and jewelry industry in China reached 420 billion yuan (US$68.53 billion) last year. To attend the fair, visitors are required to bring their ID cards or passports. Those who are under 18 years old are not allowed to enter. And the entry fee is 50 yuan per person. Professionals can register to enter by showing their business cards for free.
