Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin gained fame as the adorable beauty queen-wannabe Olive in “Little Miss Sunshine,” but as she has gotten older, her taste in movie roles has become much more grown up. Breslin stars in the upcoming film “Perfect Sisters” with “The Chronicles of Narnia” actress Georgie Henley, and the film is a dark tale based on a true story. Based on true events, the Stanley M. Brooks-directed flick deals with the death of a mother of three after her daughters, having grown tired of her repeated relapses and abusive boyfriends, attempt to kill her. “Perfect Sisters” is based on the 2003 story of a Toronto set of teens who called police after their mother accidentally drowned in her tub after spilling into a booze-and-pills stupor. While the death was ruled as an accident at first, authorities later found that the woman’s daughters might have premeditated killing her. Featuring Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino as the mother, “Perfect Sisters” hits theaters on April 11.(SD-Agencies) |
