Celebrating 2014 with New Year gala
    2014-03-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The 17th New Year’s Art Festival Gala was held with great success in our school before the arrival of the New Year after a number of program screenings and rehearsals. It was considered a great event, especially by my classmates.

The gala consisted of 13 programs including choruses, musical instrument performances, skits, dances and more. All the programs displayed the students’ art talents with well-designed performances. The gala was an expression of love for life, friendship and the vitality of growing teenagers, just as the theme of the gala had suggested — “Pursuing youthful dreams in a free way.”

Most of the performances in the gala left deep impressions in my mind, in particular the dance program called “Sadness of Petals” performed by seven girls. I felt excited to see such a good performance accompanied by melodious music.

Participants in the gala all put their full strength into their performances on stage. They displayed great passion for playing their roles, which made the programs attractive and touching. At the same time, the show presented its audience with an art feast of nice music and graceful dancing.

At the end of the gala, the performers painted a satisfactory ending to the year of 2013 with displays. I firmly believe that we will do a better job in the Year of the Horse.
