五月天在麦迪逊广场花园演出

    Taiwan rock band Mayday became the first Mandopop* band to perform at the Madison Square Garden Arena on Saturday.

    The band played to a 14,000-strong crowd at the venue, where music legends like Michael Jackson, The Rolling Stones and even Elvis had played before.

    Taiwan director Ang Lee was also in the audience.

    Mayday’s gig at the Madison Square Garden Arena is the 79th concert on their “Nowhere” world tour.

    The band concluded the U.S. leg of their tour with a performance in Los Angeles on Sunday, which marked the 15th anniversary of the band’s formation.
