    This year, my study goal is to get into the top 50 of my class; my ranking for last year was around 100. I believe that as long as I get just one or two points higher on each of my exams, I can make a great improvement in this school year’s performance.

    Here are the detailed measures I will follow to achieve my goal in the New Year.

    First, I am confident of my Chinese because I often get high scores. As long as I have a good command of basic knowledge and keep on doing more reading and other exercises, I think I can learn it well.

    Second, for math, I must take it more seriously than ever and work harder because it is my weakest subject. I have to do more exercises on the weekend and learn more from extra readings. I will ask my teacher questions more often and should not hesitate whenever I get confused.

    Third, I will be more careful on my English exams. The reason why I usually don’t get the highest score is that I often lose points on questions that I knew the answer to, but failed to notice details.

    This is my New Year plan. I will work hard to carry it out and achieve my goal. I will ask my schoolmates to help and encourage me!
