    Paltrow and Martin separate

    U.S. actress Gwyneth Paltrow and husband Chris Martin, the lead singer of alt-rock* band Coldplay, said on March 26 they are separating after 10 years of marriage.

    “It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate,” the couple said on Paltrow’s lifestyle website, Goop.com.

    

    One Direction, Ariana Grande win at Kids’ Choice Awards

    Boy band One Direction and actress-singer Ariana Grande won at the Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday.

    The British-Irish vocal group, who won favorite music group and favorite song for “Story of My Life,” accepted the awards.

    Grande, a 20-year-old pop singer and star of Nickelodeon series “Sam & Cat” won for favorite TV actress and “Sam & Cat” was voted favorite TV show.

    

    Bieber won plagiarism lawsuit

    Justin Bieber and Usher have prevailed* in a lawsuit that claimed the two had stolen the 2010 song, “Somebody to Love.”

    The plaintiffs* in the case were Devin “the Dude” Copeland and Mareio Overton, who alleged in a Virginia federal courtroom they had authored a similarly titled song in 2008 that shared some of the same essential elements. For the alleged misappropriation*, the plaintiffs demanded US$10 million in damages.

    

    Wen admits cheating on wife

    Chinese actor and rising director Wen Zhang admitted early on Monday morning on his Sina Weibo account that he had an affair with famed Chinese actress Yao Di and said he has hurt his wife and two kids.

    Wen posted an apology letter on his microblog, saying he felt regret for his extramarital affair* and was willing to take responsibility. “I have only myself to blame,” said Wen. “I have let down Ma Yili [his wife] and my children.”
