    Hanks to join Spielberg’s film

    Actor Tom Hanks and director Steven Spielberg are set to work together for a fourth time on a new Cold War film.

    The untitled film is being produced by Spielberg who is also said to be considering a directing role.

    The new project is about real-life U.S. lawyer James Donovan, who was enlisted* by the CIA during the Cold War.

    

    DiCaprio may star in ‘Steve Jobs’

    The “Slumdog Millionaire” director is said to prefer Leonardo DiCaprio in the leading role if he accepts the director’s chair on Sony Pictures’ “Steve Jobs.”

    With David Fincher having left the “Steve Jobs” project earlier in April, “Slumdog Millionaire” and “Sunshine” director Danny Boyle is said to direct the film.

    As a result, Boyle has already spoken to DiCaprio about revisiting a working partnership that resulted in 2000’s “The Beach.”

    

    George Clooney engaged

    George Clooney is engaged to lawyer Amal Alamuddin after seven months of dating.

    Clooney’s British ladylove* was first spotted flashing a “massive” ring on her left ring finger on April 24, while dining at Malibu restaurant Nobu with Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber.

    In the middle of dinner that evening, the couple told their friend Edward Norton “we’re engaged!” when he approached their table. The actor went on to congratulate them with kisses.

    

    Barbie Hsu gives birth to girl

    Taiwan-born actress and singer Barbie Hsu gave birth to a baby girl on April 24.

    The 37-year-old’s first child weighs more than three kilograms.

    Hsu married mainland entrepreneur Wang Xiaofei in a private wedding in March 2011.
