SHANGRI-LA Hotel, Guangzhou, is now hosting “The Park,” a themed weekend carnival, featuring a series of fun activities for guests. To help families take full advantage of this experience, the hotel is offering a special family getaway package that includes two days of carnival activities during the summer school break, weekends and public holidays throughout 2014.

    The family getaway package is priced at 1,800 yuan (US$288.18) per room per night.

    It includes a free upgrade from a premier room to a premier river view room, daily buffet breakfast for up to two adults and one child, a complimentary rollaway bed on request, 800 yuan to use on food and beverages or at CHI, the hotel’s spa, a free buffet for children under 12-years-old when accompanied by a paying adult, 150 yuan to use on laundry services, complimentary access to the carnival on a Sunday for one child, daily themed kids’ workshops from Monday to Saturday, complimentary use of the indoor and outdoor swimming pools, access to special room amenities for children and entrance tickets to Chimelong Safari Park for two adults and one child during the stay.
