GIRLS’ GENERATION’S YOONA to make big screen debut
    2014-07-16  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation’s Im Yoona will make her big screen debut in a new romantic comedy titled “Goodbye Ani,” reported Korean media.

She was originally offered the lead role in a Korean remake of a Japanese drama based on the popular manga “Nodame Cantabile.”

But her management agency SM Entertainment said on Monday that she has turned down the role to work on “Goodbye Ani” instead.

Yoona will play the jovial, unpredictable Ani in “Goodbye Ani.”

It is still unclear who will play the film’s male lead.

“Goodbye Ani,” a Chinese-Korean co-production, will go into production later this year.

Yoona was born in May 1990, in Seoul. In 2002, She began to train with the other trainees under SM Entertainment in the areas of acting, singing and dancing. She trained with SM for seven years, after which she joined and debuted with Girls’ Generation.

In 2009, she graduated from Daeyoung High School and attended Dongguk University, majoring in theater and music.(SD-Agencies)
