It was a very sunny October day when my parents took me to visit Chimelong Xiangjiang Safari Park in Panyu, Guangdong. At the zoo, we saw so many cute animals! We had a great time there.

    First, we visited the bird area. We saw some lovely ostriches. The ostriches had two long legs, and they walked around with us. We also saw flamingos.

    Next, we went to the fierce animals area where we saw tigers, the kings of the forest. There is a mark like the Chinese character “wang,” which means king, on their foreheads. We also observed some rhinoceroses. The rhinoceroses were huge, much bigger than they appear on TV. We watched elephants walking on the road. They are the biggest animals in the world. Their giant ears are just like two big fans.

    Later, we went to look at the pandas. We saw a panda eating bamboo leaves. Another panda was sitting on a tree, relaxing and resting. We also saw monkeys. The monkeys jumped from tree to tree as they played.

    After that, we enjoyed the circus performances. To my surprise, the acrobats jumped on the swing just like the monkeys, which was very dangerous. They must practice a lot every day.

    Finally, we met the king of the crocodiles, who was much bigger than all the other crocodiles. Crocodiles have very sharp teeth.

    I had a wonderful time at the zoo.
