PIERCE GAGNON A ROBOT IN ‘EXTANT’
    2014-08-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Pierce Gagnon plays the son of Halle Berry’s character in “Extant,” the new CBS drama series from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television production company and CBS Television Studios that is currently airing in the United States.

In “Extant,” Berry portrays an astronaut who returns home from a yearlong solo mission in space and tries to reconnect with her husband and robot son in their everyday lives. Her experiences in space and at home lead to events that will ultimately change the course of human history.

In the drama, Gagnon has excellently portrayed a newly made intelligent robot that begins to explore the meaning of life and the differences between machines and humans.

Gagnon’s credits include his breakout role in the feature film “Looper” as well as “Wish I Was Here,” “Rio 2” and “Tomorrowland.”

Earlier, Joseph Gordon-Levitt said of Gagnon, “I loved working with Pierce. I was an actor when I was that age and was not as good as he is. But I believe that kids are as capable, if not more so, of being stellar actors because they are kind of closer to that uninhibited place where we all start. He’s just phenomenal.” (SD-Agencies)
