Grace confirmed to have left ‘Dad 2’
    2014-08-27  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Grace, daughter of Malaysian-Chinese singer Gary Chaw, was confirmed yesterday to have left the second season of the hit Chinese reality show “Where Are We Going, Dad?”

Having been well-received by audiences, Grace, 3, saw her fame soar after season two started airing. However, gossip about her leaving the show started to spread after she finished the latest episode in Inner Mongolia. The news was confirmed yesterday by the show’s producer, Hunan Satellite TV. Grace’s father said during an interview that he respected his daughter’s choice without giving more details. Chaw’s son, Joe, 5, will remain on the show.

Five pairs of celebrity fathers and children joined the show’s second season. The hit reality show’s 16 episodes started shooting in May. It is reported that the last episode will shoot in New Zealand.

Adapted from the original Korean version produced by TV station MBC, the first season, which aired last October, won millions of Chinese viewers.(Tan Yifan)
