    tie the knot

    The wedding photos of Chinese actress Tang Wei and South Korean director Kim Tae-yong were revealed on August 19.

    Tang’s management agency announced on August 19 on Weibo that they officially became husband and wife and will join hands to begin a new phase in their lives.

    The couple tied the knot in an official wedding ceremony in Hong Kong, Kim’s management agency said.

    Rowan Atkinson has brought his beloved character back to life in a TV commercial in Shanghai.

    In a series of pictures, the funnyman can be seen sporting his alter-ego’s omnipresent* tweed* jacket, red tie and white shirt combo*.

    The commercial featured the Mini Cooper-driving fool involved in a stand-off with a Chinese man in a traditional suit, silly wig and fake moustache.

    

    Jackie Chan says sorry for son’s case

    Jackie Chan apologized to the public on August 20 over his son’s detention* on drug charges in Beijing, saying he’s ashamed and saddened.

    The Hong Kong film star wrote on his microblog that Jaycee Chan would have to face the consequences of his actions, but that they would do so together.

    

    Cumberbatch to star in ‘Jungle Book’

    Warner Bros. has cast an entire zoo’s worth of actors for its adaptation of “The Jungle Book,” which Andy Serkis is directing.

    Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Naomie Harris, Tom Hollander, Eddie Marsan and Peter Mullan are joining Benedict Cumberbatch to star as the animal characters in the feature. The movie will employ a mix of motion capture, CG animation and live action.(SD-Agencies)
