Actress Liu Yifei, whose film “The Four Final Battle” just hit theaters on August 22, will see two more of her films in theaters soon. Liu, 27, who is known for starring in the TV dramas “The Story of a Noble Family” and “The Return of the Condor Heroes,” is also playing leading roles in the films “Outcast” and “For Love or Money,” which will open on September 29 and November 11, respectively. Directed by Nick Powell, “Outcast” tells the romantic adventure story of a runaway princess (Liu) and prince (Andy On) and crusaders Gallain (Nicolas Cage) and Arken (Hayden Christensen). The romantic comedy “For Love or Money” is about a young woman named Xing Lu from a declining aristocratic family who finds herself caught between two men and hidden secrets. The film marks Chinese director Gao Xixi’s big screen debut. While several of Liu’s films have earned over 100 million yuan (US$16.3 million) at the box office, her new films are expected to top her previous ones. (Tan Yifan) |
