    ‘Voice of China’ winner revealed

    Zhang Bichen won the third season of the popular TV talent show “The Voice of China” on October 7.

    The other two finalists, Pa’erhati from Xinjiang and Yu Feng, placed second and third respectively.

    Born in 1989 in Tianjin, Zhang went to study in South Korea in 2009. She has attracted wide attention since the beginning of the season because of her earlier role as a member of South Korean girl band, Sunny Days.

    

    Blake Lively is expecting a baby

    Actress Blake Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, are expecting their first baby together.

    Lively, 27, announced the news on her website Preserve, posting a gorgeous picture, cradling* her baby bump. The photo was part of a collection of photos on her site for a new campaign, “Preserve Celebrations: Falling for Family.”

    

    Actress Huang Yi announces divorce

    Chinese actress Huang Yi announced her divorce from ex-husband Huang Yiqing on her Sina Weibo on Saturday, which many regarded as another publicity stunt by the couple after they signed papers in July.

    Huang wrote, “To all my friends, on Oct. 10, 2014, I officially divorced from Mr. Huang Yiqing through court mediation. I feel sorry for bringing confusion and negative influences to the public. In the meantime, I feel grateful for the care and encouragement from my parents, relatives, friends, fans and my lawyer. Thanks for the support and company.”

    

    Johansson heads to TV

    In her first major television role, Scarlett Johansson will star in an adaption* of the Edith Wharton novel “The Custom of the Country” for Sony Pictures Television.

    The eight-episode series will be written by Christopher Hampton.

    Johansson will play Undine Spragg, a young woman from a nouveau riche* Midwestern family that moves to New York City, where complicated romantic entanglements ensue for the socially ambitious beauty.(SD-Agencies)
