    Victoria Beckham: U.K.’s most

    successful entrepreneur

    Victoria Beckham was just named as Britain’s most successful entrepreneur*.

    The 40-year-old singer-turned-fashion-designer was named top of a list of the country’s 100 business people.

    Mrs. Beckham’s fashion business has risen from 1 million to 30 million British pounds (US$1.61-4.83 million) in just five years.

    

    Kaley Cuoco gets Walk of Fame star

    “The Big Bang Theory” actress Kaley Cuoco received a star on Hollywood’s storied Walk of Fame*.

    Jim Parsons (Sheldon), Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Simon Helberg (Howard) and Kunal Nayyar (Raj), as well as the show’s co-creator Chuck Lorre, were on hand for the star-unveiling ceremony on Tinseltown’s famous sidewalk.

    “This cast has changed my life in many ways,” said the 28-year-old, who plays Penny in the series, which has been running since 2007.

    

    ‘Heaven Knows What’ wins at TFF

    Joshua and Benny Safdie’s “Heaven Knows What,” the story of a young heroin addict who finds love on the streets of New York, took the top prize at the Tokyo International Film Festival on October 31.

    The Safdie brothers also won the best director award for the U.S.-French production, which is based on a real-life account of the female lead, Arielle Holmes, and co-star Caleb Landry Jones of “X-Men: First Class.”

    

    Hu Dong detained for drug use

    Beijing police on Saturday night confirmed the detention* of actor Hu Dong for use of drugs.

    Hu, 45, from Hangzhou City of East China’s Zhejiang Province, confessed that he had been using crystal methamphetamine* and tested positive for the drug after his nabbing* on October 16, the police revealed without giving the actor’s full name.

    Chinese media confirmed the news with Beijing police on Sunday, revealing Hu did take meth and confessed to police.
