CNTV works with Canadian partner to launch children’s VOD service
    2014-11-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Kids in China are about to have a lot more TV show options.

China National Television (CNTV) is partnering with Canada’s DHX Media to launch an Internet platform company targeted at the children’s entertainment market.

Under the deal, DHX will provide over 700 half-hour slots of children’s programs to CNTV, a branch of State-owned broadcaster China Central Television.

These include internationally recognized shows like “Teletubbies,” “Inspector Gadget” and “Yo Gabba Gabba!”

The service will be available nationwide soon.

The deal was unveiled in Beijing by Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper at a signing ceremony during the APEC meeting.(SD-Agencies)
