MACKENZIE FOY shines with ‘Interstellar’
    2014-11-19  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Mackenzie Foy stepped into the sun with “Interstellar” stars Jessica Chastain and Anne Hathaway to honor Matthew McConaughey at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Monday.

The 14-year-old actress recently talked about what it was like to work with them.

“Mr. Matthew is amazing. By watching him, I learned how to be more loose,” Foy said.

As for working with Chastain, she said, “I didn’t film with her, but we discussed the character and how to do certain things, like put a pencil in our bun, little things with her hands, what we would do with our mouth, how to act like Mr. Matthew, to make the character more real.”

The actress plays Matthew McConaughey’s daughter in the film, which centers on a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage.

Foy was born in Los Angeles and is homeschooled. She began modeling in print ads in 2004, working for Garnet Hill, Polo Ralph Lauren, and Guess (Kids).

Her career as an actress started when she was 9, guest- starring in several television shows such as “Til Death,” “Flash Forward” and “Hawaii Five-0.” In 2010, she was cast in the role of Renesmee Cullen in the movie adaptation of “Breaking Dawn.”
