Former “Doctor Who” star David Tennant will play the villain in upcoming Netflix series “Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones.”

    Marvel announced the casting and revealed that Tennant would play a character called Kilgrave, a figure from Jessica’s past whose reappearance will send shockwaves* through the former super hero’s world.

    The actor joins the previously cast Krysten Ritter, who’s playing Jessica, and Mike Colter, who’s playing Luke Cage.

    The series is about Jessica Jones rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective, after a tragic ending to her short-lived superhero stint.

    “Marvel’s A.K.A. Jessica Jones” will debut later this year on Netflix.(SD-Agencies)
