News that Chinese actor Li Chen and actress Fan Bingbing got engaged on Monday night spread on the Internet yesterday, but as of yesterday afternoon, neither of them have confirmed the rumors.

    Li, a fame-soaring actor, posted two pictures of Beijing blanketed in snow on his Sina Weibo account on Monday night and hinted at the engagement. He wrote, “It’s snowing and if we hold an umbrella and walk along the road, can we walk together until we are gray.”

    About 20 minutes later, Fan posted a photo on her Sina Weibo and said, “Loving a man is simple, it makes you want to say ‘Goodnight’ after one ‘Goodnight.’ — Beijing is snowing tonight.”

    A few hours later, Zhuo Wei, the head of famed Chinese paparazzo media Fengxing Workshop, posted that the couple had confirmed that they were engaged and that their wedding was scheduled for June.

    Both Li and Fan starred in the recent TV drama “The Empress of China.” Li also appeared in the Chinese version of the reality show “Running Man.” The news of them being together was released a month ago online and many Chinese stars sent best wishes to them.
