    Jackie Chan gives son new haircut

    The 32-year-old Jaycee Chan posted two photos on his Sina Weibo on February 26, featuring Jackie Chan cutting his hair, with his mother looking on. It was the first microblog post he posted after his arrest in August.

    The caption attached to the photos said “congxin kaishi,” which literally means “start from the heart,” and also sounds the same as “start from the beginning.” The other photo features a close-up* of his new haircut.

    

    Lady Gaga joins ‘American Horror Story’

    Lady Gaga is headed to a television screen near you, in what is sure to be a creepy role.

    The singer announced on Twitter that she will star in season five of “American Horror Story,” and revealed the FX show’s new theme — “Hotel.”

    “Make your reservation now. #GagaAHSHotel,” the star tweeted, along with a short black and white clip of herself in a thick black mask, which she removes before whispering, “Hotel.”

    The clip also reveals her name in the script used for the show’s credits and its start date — “October.”

    

    Actress’s gown returned by thief

    The US$150,000 Oscar gown worn by actress Lupita Nyong’o that was stolen two days ago was returned on February 27 by the thief, who tipped off* celebrity news site TMZ.com after learning the pearls on the dress were fake, according to officials and the website.

    TMZ said the thief took the Calvin Klein dress from Nyong’o’s hotel room on February 25.

    The Kenyan actress had worn the dress adorned with* 6,000 pearls to this year’s Academy Awards in one of the most commented looks of the night.

    

    Singer sentenced to 7 months

    Famed Chinese singer Yin Xiangjie was sentenced to seven months in prison and fined 2,000 yuan (US$319.8) for illegal drug possession.

    The sentence came after the first trial of the case was held in a local court in Beijing’s Chaoyang District on Saturday.

    Yin, 46, was charged with possessing more than 10 grams of crystal methamphetamine*.(SD-Agencies)
