Animated film ‘Home’ premieres in New York
    2015-03-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The new animated film “Home” premiered in New York on Monday.

Rihanna, Jim Parsons and Steve Martin attended the red-carpet* event.

“Home” tells the tale of Oh, a lovable misfit* from another planet who comes to Earth to avoid his people’s mortal enemy*.

Parsons, who voices Oh, says the film is about “unlikely friendships.”

“There’s these people who all think certain things about each other — people and creatures — and they realize that when they don’t put on these pre-suppositioned* ideas they can actually reveal that they have a lot in common and they become friends,” he said.

Rihanna provides the voice for 12-year-old Tip.

She also recorded a number of songs for the film.

“Home” opens in U.S. theaters a week from this coming Friday.(SD-Agencies)
