Carly rae jepsen starts roadshow for new single
    2015-03-25  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen has begun her road-show for her new single “I Really Like You.”

The teenager made her debut in 2012 with her hit “Call Me Maybe.”

“Call Me Maybe” became one of the biggest singles of that year.

Jepsen admits it’s taken a while for her to follow it up.

“I think the only way to tackle that for me was to throw myself into the work and writing and just keep writing every single day and try every single avenue,” she said.

Jepsen says she’s written hundreds of songs for her sophomore album.

A release date for her new record hasn’t been released.

Jepsen rose to fame in 2007. She placed third in “Canadian Idol” season five’s competition. Shortly after competing on “Canadian Idol,” she independently released her debut album, “Tug of War.” Three years later, she released “Call Me Maybe.”

Jepsen has received multiple awards and nominations, including three Juno Awards and two Grammy Award nominations.
