BEN PLATT JOINS ANG LEE’S NEW FILM
    2015-04-22  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Ben Platt, 22, who will be seen in the upcoming “Pitch Perfect 2,” has joined the film “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk,” directed by Ang Lee, Deadline reported.

Kristen Stewart has already joined the cast, along with Joe Alwyn, who will be playing the title character.

Platt will play Josh, who works for the Cowboys organization and is the point person in charge of taking care of the Bravo Squad during its day at the football stadium and is described as “hyper-competent and eager to please.”

In addition to joining the film, Platt will star in the new musical “Dear Evan Hansen,” debuting this summer at Washington’s Arena Stage. “Dear Evan Hansen” is a contemporary story about hope and heartache after a private letter accidentally goes viral online.

Platt has also had a few small appearances as an extra in movies such as “Grown Ups 2” and “Divergent.”

In 2013, Platt was nominated for choice movie: male scene stealer for his role in “Pitch Perfect” at the Teen Choice Awards.(SD-Agencies)
