“The Big Bang Theory” Season 8 is heading towards its final episodes, and it looks like viewers are in for a big cliffhanger*. Showrunner Steven Molaro dropped some hints about the upcoming finale to The Hollywood Reporter, teasing that fans will get to see two of the show’s core couples make some major “life-changing decisions.”

    As fans of the series know, several of the characters have reached major milestones over the course of the season so far. After years of failed attempts at being an actress, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) finally found a job she excels at in the world of pharmaceutical* sales. Meanwhile, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) “spent the night together” for the first time and said their first “I love yous.” With the season finale set to air next month, these factors will continue to come into play in a big way.

    As Molaro confirmed, the finale episode will take place on the fifth anniversary of Sheldon and Amy’s first meeting — the awkward “date” set up by Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Howard (Simon Helberg). While their relationship has been slowly progressing, things still aren’t moving fast enough for Amy, and she’s letting him know it. (SD-Agencies)
