    Child star dies of leukemia

    Child star Deng Minghe died of leukemia* at the age of 8 on April 28. He gained national fame by performing “Paper-cutting Flowers” during the CCTV Spring Festival Gala in 2013.

    The boy had shown a remarkable talent for Henan opera, singing and performing since he was very young, and had won several provincial awards since 2010. He gained nationwide attention after performing in the 2013 CCTV Spring Festival Gala with his sister Deng Minglu.

    Justin Bieber joins ‘Zoolander 2’

    Justin Bieber has officially joined the cast of “Zoolander 2,” as revealed on his Instagram and Twitter feeds.

    Bieber had previously hinted at an appearance on Facebook, telling fans that he was “working on something big” in Europe. He then wrote, “To learn more follow me on Fahlo. He is so hot right now.”

    He joins a cast that also includes Penelope Cruz, Billy Zane, Fred Armisen, Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig and Lewis Hamilton, as well as returning stars Stiller and Owen Wilson.

    Su Wenmao dies at 86

    Famed Chinese cross talk comedian Su Wenmao passed away in Tianjin on Sunday.

    The news was first released on China’s Twitter-like Sina Weibo account.

    The 86-year-old performing artist had followed renowned cross talker Chang Baokun in the 1940s and gradually formed his own style. He later cooperated with many cross talkers and enjoyed a high reputation for his “Su-style cross talks.”

    B.B. King in hospice care

    Blues legend B.B. King was in hospice care on May 1 at his home in Las Vegas, according to a longtime business associate with legal control over his affairs.

    The 89-year-old musician posted thanks on his official website for fans’ well-wishes and prayers after he returned home from a brief hospitalization, said Laverne Toney, King’s longtime business manager and current power-of-attorney.(SD-Agencies)
