Subtitles for ‘Avengers’ movie leave moviegoers frustrated
    2015-05-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

The latest “Avengers” movie may be selling tickets well in China, but the Chinese subtitles* have left moviegoers confused and disappointed.

Audiences have been complaining online that the poor translation of the subtitles has left them confused and ruined the characterizations of the superheroes.

One example is in English, “Even if you get killed just walk it off” while the Chinese translation is, “Someone is going to kill you. Run.”

It’s not the first time that poorly translated subtitles in films have come under harsh criticism. Many people left disappointed at the translation of Marvel’s “Guardian of the Galaxy” and also the most recent “Hunger Games” film.(SD-Agencies)
