For the first time, those in China will get to enjoy the “Star Wars” series on the big screen. All six films in the series will be shown during the 18th annual Shanghai International Film Festival, organizers announced on Monday. The SFF organizers and Walt Disney are collaborating for the saga’s theatrical debut*, during which “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope,” “Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back,” and “Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi” will be shown for the first time on the big screen. The next installment in the series, “The Force Awakens” will be released on December 18. Several stars from the original trilogy are to make appearances in it, which sees Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher), and Han Solo (Harrison Ford) among those handing over the series to a new generation of heroes and actors. The Shanghai film festival, now in its 18th edition, spans* June 13-21, and hosts the prestigious* Golden Goblet award ceremony, alongside the Jackie Chan Action Movie Week and the Asian New Talent Award.
