BELLA THORNE to star in ‘Shovel Buddies’
    2015-06-10  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Bella Thorne, 18, and YouTube star Kian Lawley have landed roles in AwesomenessTV’s “Shovel Buddies,” a 2013 Black List screenplay about four teenagers who embark on an all-night adventure to honor the memory of their recently deceased friend.

“Shovel Buddies” tells the story of four friends who come together to do right by their friend Sammy, who recently died of leukemia. Jimmy finds a letter from Sammy, asking that he be buried in his favorite football jersey instead of cremated like his parents plan. Jimmy enlists his little brother Lump, his other best friend Dan (Lawley) and Sammy’s sister Kate (Thorne) to honor Sammy’s wishes. Philip Labes and James C. Burns also star.

The film is being directed by Simon Atkinson and Adam Townley.

Thorne is an American actress, singer and model. She is best known for her roles as Ruthy Spivey in the TV series “My Own Worst Enemy,” Tancy Henrickson in the fourth season of “Big Love,” and CeCe Jones on the Disney Channel series “Shake It Up.” In 2015 she played Madison in “The Duff.”(SD-Agencie)
