‘Tiny Times’ theme song probably plagiarized
    2015-07-22  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

Along with the box office success of the domestic romance “Tiny Times 4,” its theme song “Time Boils the Rain,” or “Shijian Zhuyu” in Chinese, has also showed overwhelming oomph* among fans of the series.

With lyrics written by writer-turned-film director Guo Jingming, its melody was composed by Liu Dajiang. However, critics in the music industry have recently pointed out the theme song smacks of plagiarism*.

They argued the song is similar to a song released by Singaporean singer Joi Chua on his 2006 album “Waiting for a Sunny Day.”

When asked to comment on the plagiarism dispute, Guo said he is only held responsible for the genuine* originality of the lyrics, adding that those who think otherwise should go to the music composer.
