“Game of Thrones” actor Isaac Hempstead Wright has revealed he would like to star in a Marvel movie — as the young Tony Stark. The 16-year-old, who has starred in films such as “The Boxtrolls,” “The Awakening” and “Closed Circuit,” joked he would be the perfect person to take on the role, following his portrayal of Bran Stark in “Game of Thrones.” “Ever since ‘Iron Man,’ I’ve really enjoyed the Marvel universe,” he said. “I would like to be the young Iron Man. I just want the suit!” Wright joked, “I’ve already been one Stark so I guess I could transition pretty well into another,” adding, “if Marvel are listening, Iron Man the prequel.” Wright, who was 12 when he made his debut in the first season of “Game of Thrones,” started filming scenes for the sixth season at the end of July. It would mark his screen return, after he was sidelined in the fifth season. “I can’t say a lot but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions,” he teased. Wright was born on April 9, 1999 in England. He had no interest in acting until he joined a drama club to avoid playing football on Saturday mornings during the cold months of the year. The TV series “Game of Thrones” earned him a young artist award nomination as best young supporting actor. (SD-Agencies) |
