Poets highlighted in SZ Reading Month events
    2015-12-04  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A GROUP of well-known Chinese poets shared their works and experiences with residents and students in Futian District during this year’s Shenzhen Reading Month, which ran from Nov. 1 to 30.

The event was organized by the Guangdong Province Writers Association, the Shenzhen Association of Literary and Art Circles, Futian District Cultural and Sports Development Center, the Shenzhen Writers Association, the Futian District Writers Association and Shenzhen Huifengang Cultural Co.

Well-known poets such as Yan Li, Tian Yuan, Li Li, Song Ling and Chen Kehua were on the guest list. They attended nine events in Futian, including seminars, poetry readings, lectures and cultural tours.

Other reading activities in the district included a reading marathon, a picture book carnival, a book recommendation event and a book exchange activity.

Among these, the book exchange activity, which was held Nov. 21, attracted about 10,000 residents. More than 20,000 books were exchanged during the event.
