    The Chinese University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen (CUHK-SZ) is ready to recruit postgraduate students for four new programs this fall.

    The programs include master of arts in translation and interpreting studies, master of arts in simultaneous interpreting at the School of Humanities and Social Science, master of financial engineering at the School of Science and Engineering and master of finance at the School of Management and Economics.

    Unlike most of the universities on the Chinese mainland, CUHK-SZ accepts students based on the information submitted by the students according to an international protocol. The university will assess the students based on their academic performance, language proficiency in English, interest in their planned major as well as community activities.

    The postgraduate students who graduate will receive certificates from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

    The School of Humanities and Social Science has already finished the first round of recruitment for the master of translation and interpreting studies. The deadline for the second round of applications is March 31. Scholarships from 8,000 to 50,000 yuan (US$1,216 to 7,600) will be available for outstanding students.

    The second round of applications for the master of financial engineering program will end on February 25. The program committee urges students who are interested in this program to submit their applications as soon as possible.

    The application for the master of finance program is due on February 29 for the first round and May 31 for the second round. Applicants need to submit their applications via email at mscfin@cuhk.edu.cn.
