THE Spring Festival transport season in China is known as the largest annual migration on the planet as people living in big cities return to their hometowns for the public holiday. It has become a synonym with struggle – struggling to buy a train or an air ticket, struggling to get through hundreds of thousands of people to board a train and struggling to get out of congested traffic on roads. However, there are also some memorable moments during the journey home as volunteers around the country try to make the journey home easier.
