A DOCUMENTARY that reflects the transformation of Futian District’s urban villages has recently started shooting in the district.

    Jointly planned by the district’s publicity department and Shenzhen Evening Post, “Transformation — 36 Years of History for Futian Villages” is a documentary that explores the “roots of Futian” within the 15 urban villages across the district.

    Aiming at recording the villages’ changes and district’s future, the filming team from Shenzhen Evening Post interviewed residents from several villages during the Spring Festival period. Starting with the traditional customs of each village, the team visited many traditional events such as lion dances, village temple ceremonies and pot dish activities.

    The documentary should finish filming soon, and will be aired via new media channels associated with Shenzhen Evening Post, Futian Weekly and ZAKER Media.
