DOZENS of entrepreneurs from renowned domestic and international enterprises are going to join a global CEO innovation summit in Shenzhen on Saturday to discuss trends and innovations in business and investing.

This year’s conference is the fifth global CEO summit since the first one in 2011. According to Shen Yang, the founder of chinaceot.com, one of the two organizers, the summit this year will particularly look into topics on innovation initiatives around the globe and corporations’ indigenous innovation as well as the shared economy and the maker economy.

The summit will invite more than 50 CEOs and senior executives to attend the gathering Saturday. Domestic and international guest speakers will deliver speeches and join conversations at the summit. Four guest speakers, including Shen, will make keynote speeches at the forum.

Sujit Chatterjee, the China region CEO of Tata Consultancy Service, one of the largest consultancy firms in India, will talk about corporate innovation with global vision. Jin Jian from Deloitte & Touche, an accounting firm that enjoys international fame, is going to shed light on equity financing under the “new normal” economy.

Shen said he will talk about how small- and medium-sized enterprises can raise funds in the “Internet Plus” environment. The fourth keynote speech will be made by Jia Jin, a professor of economics at various famous universities. Jia will address the problem of cultivating innovative talent in the Internet era.

Apart from the speeches and talks, a roadshow of innovative projects will, for the first time, become a major part during the one-day summit.

Shen said that six innovative projects were selected from across the country and candidates will deliver final presentations on stage while dozens of investors consider investing.

“Each team will have eight to 10 minutes to present their projects and earn the trust of the investors,” said Shen. More than 100 venture capital investors are expected to attend the roadshow.

“The roadshow is part of the summit to connect the initiators of these innovative projects with the investors,” said Shen.
