    A TECHNOLOGY transfer and innovation collaboration session will be held during the 14th Conference on International Exchange of Professionals (CIEP), which will open at the Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District on Saturday.

    It’s the second year that the International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN) has organized the session for the CIEP, according to ITTN’s spokesperson Tian Ruixue. This year’s session will be attended by more than 500 guests from over 20 countries.

    The China International Innovation City Development Forum will be held in Peony Hall of the exhibition center during the session, with over 200 experts from home and abroad being invited to talk about the development of global innovative cities and practical ways to develop innovative cities in China.

    “Over 50 overseas companies seeking partnerships in China will showcase their projects during the forum,” Tian said, adding that the forum will work as a bridge to bring in overseas technology and professional talent to propel innovative city development in China.

    The session will also include a Sino-U.S. technology transfer seminar and demonstration training in Rose Hall on Saturday and Sunday. Several prominent academics and entrepreneurs from China and the U.S. will talk about both countries’ training systems for technology transfer practitioners.

    “China lacks technology transfer professionals, and there are insufficient training courses for these practitioners to learn about theoretical and practical ways to accelerate technology transfer,” said Tian, adding that free training will be available during the seminar.

    The Smart Healthy City Summit will also be held during the session, which consists of a mobile health interconnection workshop in Rose Hall on Saturday afternoon and the Continua Spring China Symposium in Chrysanthemum Hall on Sunday.

    The summit will be attended by officials from national health and technology authorities and mobile health device producers. Innovative mobile health projects from South Korea, Italy and Spain will also be displayed during the summit.

    Tian said the summit is aimed at exploring nationwide industrial standards for mobile health technology industry. She said the standards are expected to conform to the Continua Design Guidelines, the widely recognized standards for certifying personal connected health devices and systems around the world.
