Firebox, the company behind a range of spill-proof Mighty Mug, is now selling an equivalent for drinks.

    A grip on the bottom of the glasses creates an air-tight lock that means the glasses can’t be knocked over but can easily be lifted vertically when you want to take a sip.

    Mighty Mug, the mugs that would not spill drinks even when punched, came out from London-based online retailer Firebox. “Mighty Mug is powered by Smartgrip which allows the mug to grip when knocked into but lift naturally,” said a spokesman from Firebox.

    When the smartgrip base is placed on a smooth, flat surface, a small amount of air is trapped beneath it, creating a vacuum that locks the mug in place and prevent the possibility of someone accidentally knocking it over.

    “The magic is in Mighty Mug’s Smartgrip base. Mighty Mug creates a super powerful airlock once placed down, but automatically releases when you need a sip.”
