THIS set of photos shows the daily work of male nurses at the emergency department of Shenzhen People’s Hospital on May 9 and 10. They are members of the first male nurse team in Shenzhen, which has 104 male nurses and was founded in October 2015.

    The emergency department now has 27 male nurses, making up one-fifth of the total number of nurses. Other male nurses work in the operating room, in the brain surgery department and in other departments.
