THE Qianhai Shenzhen Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (E Hub) is recruiting startup teams with Internet, hardware or creative culture-related projects.
Aimed at facilitating early startups, the hub will only accept companies that have been established for less than five years and with legal representatives on staff. Entrepreneurs must explain their intellectual property right and equity structure, and have stakes in the company.
“The teams can be those that have registered in Qianhai or agree to move to Qianhai after being accepted by us,” said Zeng Yixuan, a staffer at E Hub.
“For submitting their applications, the teams can either submit directly to the business unit of E Hub or with the incubators we are cooperating with,” Zeng said.
Initiated by the Qianhai Authority, the Shenzhen Youth Federation and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, E Hub started recruiting in November 2014. It has recruited 129 teams with 59 teams from Hong Kong. The hub offers six months of free working space for newcomers.
Currently the incubators cooperating with the hub include SIAT, IDH, China Renaissance K2 Ventures, HOUDE, Youth Business Hong Kong and SVIIAP.
Zeng said 25 teams graduated from the hub last year with some recommended to next-stage incubators.
Applications to join the program are available via WeChat ID qianhaiehub. Teams must send resumes, a cover letter, a business plan and other supporting material to meng.gu@siat.ac.cn.
