
Zhu Mingguo, former head of the political advisory body in Guangdong Province, stands trial at a court in Liuzhou City, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, yesterday. He pleaded guilty to receiving 141 million yuan (US$21.5 million) in assets and bribes directly or through his wife from his “beneficiaries,” and holding assets worth over 91 million yuan from unknown sources.
