CHINA Southern Airlines Shenzhen Co. introduced a free accommodation service for international passengers who stay overnight in Shenzhen.

The new rule applies for passengers transferring from domestic to international or international to domestic flights via Shenzhen with transit time ranging from six hours to 72 hours, the company said yesterday.

Economy-class and R-class passengers transferring from domestic to domestic flights aren’t included in the service.

Transit passengers can apply for free accommodation at the service counter at Island A of the departure hall of Shenzhen International Airport after arrival.

If they have any problem on the day of the transfer flight, the passengers can contact ground service by calling 0755-23453767 or emailing szxzhongzh@csair.com (English service is available).

The company will provide standard rooms, free breakfast and bus transport. First-class and business-class passengers and CSAIR Skypearl card holders can enjoy four-star or five-star standard accommodation free of charge.

Three-star standard accommodation is provided to premium-economy-class and economy-plus-class passengers. Economy and other class passengers get free accommodation, with two people to each room, according to the company.
