SACRAMENTO Kings guard Darren Collison, 28, was arrested in Placer County, California, the United States, on Monday and charged with domestic violence, according to a police report.
The alleged victim is his wife, Keyosha Collison. The charge — “inflicting corporal injury” — gives no indication as to the severity of the situation. Collison was released midday Monday on US$55,000 bail.
Collison, who has played for five teams, recently finished his seventh season. He averaged 14 points and 4.3 assists for a Kings team that was just 33-49.
Placer County deputies responded to a call at 1 a.m. Monday by a woman with visible injuries, according to authorities, which led to the arrest. Collison was also booked on two warrants of driving on a suspended license.
