解套
    2016-June-2  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

    Meaning:

“解” means to “untie,” and “套” means “noose, trap.” This term, literally meaning getting out of the noose, is often used in stock market talks to refer to a situation where the investors cut the paper losses when the shares they bought rebound to their buying prices or higher. It may also mean someone extricates himself from a difficult situation.

    Example:

The stock market is rallying these days. How is your investment?

I bought at the high in June last year. The stocks are still far below my buying prices.

Nǐ yòu bù děng qián yòng, jìu děngzhe ba。

Since you don’t need that money now, just wait a little longer.

    Zhǐnéng zhèyàng le。

    What else can I do?
